We are delighted to welcome you to the 7th International Symposium on Soft Matter Science and Engineering (SMSE 2026), taking place from June 15 to 19, 2026, in the beautiful city of Guangzhou, China.

Since its inception in 2017, SMSE has established itself as a premier platform for academic exchange and collaboration, fostering fruitful interdisciplinary discussions. At SMSE 2026, we will focus on advancing the frontiers of Precision Soft Matter through three interconnected themes: Precision Chemistry for tailored synthesis and molecular design; Precision Physics for understanding fundamental structure-property relationships; and Precision Engineering for innovative processing, device integration, and technological applications.

This year holds special significance as it marks the 10th anniversary of the School of Emergent Soft Matter. To celebrate this important milestone, a special anniversary event will be held on June 15, 2026, as part of the symposium. This event will reflect on a decade of development and look forward to a future of innovation.

Our program will feature keynote presentations by globally renowned experts, offering insights into the latest advancements and emerging trends. Interactive sessions, including panel discussions and poster presentations, will provide valuable opportunities for both young and senior researchers to exchange ideas and forge new collaborations.
